About Us

We're Wilson Bros. BBQ & Catering, and we've been a family-owned catering service in Houghton, IA, since 2014. We offer a wide variety of catering services, including our food truck as well as meal pickup and delivery. From corporate events and weddings to birthday and Memorial Day parties, our freshly smoked meats and premium sides are perfect for any occasion. Our Story

Wilson Bros. BBQ & Catering is proud to serve the Houghton, Iowa community since 2014. We provide a wide range of services including catering, food trucks, and pick-up/drop-off meals. Founded by two brothers, Andy and Dusty Wilson, our business got its start competing in BBQ competitions across the state of Iowa, where we quickly gained a reputation for our delicious, mouth-watering barbecue. As demand grew, we expanded into catering, and then added a second catering crew to keep up with the demand. In 2018, Andys wife, Megan, and Andy decided to let Dusty spend more time with his growing family and bought him out. We are proud to say that in 2019, we were the South East Iowa BBQ Tour Grand Champions, a testament to the quality and taste of our barbecue. In 2020, we launched our food truck, allowing us to take our barbecue on the road and share our love of great food with even more people. In 2021, we were honored to be named Best of the Best Caterer by the Hawkeye's People's Choice Awards, recognizing our dedication to providing outstanding food and exceptional customer service. We have built our reputation around quality homemade food at affordable prices. Now in 2023, can count on us for all your catering needs from a small party to a large event.

We know that there are a lot of different factors that go into deciding whether or not to hire a caterer for an event, and we're here to help you find out which ones are most important to you. We offer delicious food and great service at prices that fit any budget, and we'll even help you plan your event! Whatever kind of party or event you're planning on throwing, we have the experience and expertise needed to make it a success.

Our team of experienced professionals is here to help you plan the perfect event, whether it's a backyard barbecue or a large-scale corporate event. We offer a variety of services and can customize our offerings to fit your needs. We're committed to creating an experience that leaves you feeling like you got more than you expected.

We understand that some parties don't require a full catering set up. For that, we have our Pickup & Delivery option! You get to choose the menu, we will do the cooking! Starting with your choice of meat, with a 4 lb minumum, and pans of sides, with options for different size parties, this is a great way to build your own menu without the hassle of catering!

Whether you're hosting a wedding reception or just having friends over for dinner, let us take the hassle out of your party planning by providing the food! I can’t recommend Wilson Brothers BBQ enough!!! Andy and his amazing crew did a FABULOUS job catering our daughter’s 250 person wedding reception at the Barn at Fairview Acres. The food was outstanding. We had many pork producers in attendance, and they all said it was the best pulled pork they had ever had. The brisket was also outstanding, and we LOVE their homemade sauce. The sides were also excellent tasting and hearty. Not sure how he gets green beans to taste so good. Andy was extremely flexible to allow us to do a half order of Caesar salad, to avoid waste. The staff was on time, considerate and did a wonderful job getting everyone through in a timely manner.. The price was super fair and Andy and his wife were so kind and lovely to work with. We opted for the gold disposable silverware, which was beautiful. You honestly will have the best experience with Wilson Brothers. It was a privilege to have them be a part of our family’s celebration.

We had them cater our family reunion of 50 people and they did a great job! They got here exactly when they said they would. Had all the utensils we needed. Pulled pork and sides were plentiful and delicious! In the evening we had them come back and do a taco bar that was equally a hit!! They were so friendly and helpful all the way through our planning; I would highly recommend them!
